Nepal Economic Forum provides managerial, financial and research services while acting as an information hub for all issues related to the Nepal economy. We believe that economic progress and social development are mutually complimentary and necessary for each other. Ltd., Nepal Economic Forum has the advantage of a business consulting background along with a broad network of private businesses, donor agencies and media houses. We bring the professionalism and efficiency of the private sector consulting and are known for our high performance standards.

One of Nepal Economic Forum's core competencies is specialization in providing consulting services to the development sector. We focus on facilitating the work of our implementing partners by helping them setup models that are sustainable and scalable.Nepal Economic Forum works towards collecting and disseminating information related to the Nepali economy and produces, nefport, a quarterly economic outlook. We also act as an economic lobby group to draft and enact policy reforms to ensure a healthy business climate. Sujeev Shakya

Chairperson

Sujeev Shakya is a recognized expert in the area of private sector development, having worked within senior management providing advice and technical assistance to business corporations and development organizations on business development, strategic planning, organizational development, and financial management. He is regularly invited by multilaterals, bilaterals, governmental and non-governmental groups, universities, foundations, and think tanks to provide the private sector perspective and how to forge better relationships between the various stakeholders. His theme of public private partnerships and various models created around the philosophy of partnerships aims at ensuring the private sector leads the process of development. He is the author of the book �Unleashing Nepal� (Penguin, 2009) that was very well received at home and abroad. He also has a very popular fortnightly column in Nepali Times that delivers sharp economic analysis with humor and common sense. Sujeev is one of the few from the private sector to be awarded the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship by the US Department of State in 2002.

Puja Tandon

Director

Puja Tandon is a management consulting specialist and has more than ten years of experience with the private and public sector. Due to her strong interest in private sector development, she has worked closely with international organizations, local nonprofits, institutions of the public and private sector including various ministries of Nepal throughout her career. She has extensive knowledge and skills in areas of the private sector related to corporate advisory. She has led diverse teams working on development consulting assignments for cross section of organizations. A Company Secretary by profession, she is a member of the Institute of the Company Secretaries of India. She is also a visiting faculty at Kathmandu University.

Suman Rayamajhi

Director

Suman Rayamajhi is a seasoned executive with financial and management experience related to the private sector. He is a Chartered Accountant with ten years plus of working experience in the corporate, capital market and financial sectors. Suman has a experience of working with the World Bank for the Financial Sector Reform Project, Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB). He is regarded as an expert in the areas of financial and capital markets serving on various government committees and engaging in extensive discussions with government and allied agencies. He continues to serve in various capacities with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal.
