Launch of the book: Unleashing Nepal

Sujeev Shakya, Chairperson of Nepal Economic Forum, launched his book 'Unleashing Nepal, past, present and future of economy'. The book was published by Penguin India and was very well received by the Nepali and international readers. Written in a non-technical prose, the strength of the book is that it caters to a wide readership, including those who have no knowledge of economics.

Linking Market Building and Political Economy

Having been to Nepal several times, working closely with Institute for State Effectiveness (ISE) founder Dr. Ashraf Ghani (former Finance Minister of Afghanistan), Blair will share ISE's experiences in Nepal and ideas on market-building from other country contexts. Previously, Blair worked for the Fragile States Team at the World Bank on post-conflict reconstruction issues, with a focus on strategy development, donor coordination, and results measurement.
