The Nepal Economic Forum is first and foremost a research centre on business and economic issues with an extensive pool of researchers and analysts. It is committed to providing the best research services to its clients while simultaneously provide a platform for researchers to pursue research in their field of interest. NEF coordinates and carries out research for both the public and private sectors. Depending on the nature of the research, it conducts the research independently or approaches external researchers. In either case, NEF coordinates and logistically enables the research organization and ensures that the study is carried out according to the client’s specifications and needs in a timely manner. We are also dedicated to generate monthly newsletters and quarterly reports on various economic agendas. Since we believe that the quality of reports we generate is as par with the international standard, we also propose the domestic and international companies to outsource their research and report writing work to us. NEF core competency lies in generating world class reports that surrounds the issues related to Nepal's economy.

Interaction and communication

The Nepal Economic Forum is committed to initiating, nurturing and maintaining a dialogue between multiple sectors within the National economy to ensure the sharing of ideas, opinions and mechanisms through which sustainable inclusive economic growth can be achieved in Nepal. One of the primary objectives of NEF is to collect and disseminate information related to the economy of Nepal to the broader public. To this end, it utilizes multiple mass media mediums including print, radio, television and the internet to reach a mass audience. NEF also provides a platform of multi-sector dialogue and communication through the organization of seminars and conferences. Through these events, a broader consensus on critical socio-economic issues that can ensure sustainable economic growth can be reached.

Managerial, Logistical and Financial Services

NEF provides managerial, logistical and financial services to INGO, NGOs, enterprises and entrepreneurs. It helps these organizations craft proposals, design implementing strategies, plan out sustainable budgets e.t.c. NEF also oversees implementations, allocate funds for different phases of the project and ensure transparency in spending. NEF has a team of experienced financial advisors and management consultants who put in pro bono hours in the projects to service the organizations that cannot afford big consulting firms.

Policy reforms

NEF believes that there is a strong need for the policy reforms; we are still operating on the policy formulated years ago. The changing society and the economy calls for amendments in the regulatory and legislative framework. Through continuous roundtable dialogues, we provoke multi sector interaction to address and spread awareness about the pitfalls on our public and private policies. We are dedicated to conduct intensive research and review on economic and social policies, identify loop holes, publish our findings, spread awareness and conduct dialogue sessions to bring about the much needed changes.
